CharadeFam privacy policy
CharadeFam is a free family acting game for iPhone and iPad, made by Gravitaz LLC, with an Android version on the way. This page explains what the iOS app does with your information.
The short version
CharadeFam has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. It contains no third-party SDKs and doesn’t use the advertising identifier.
What stays on your device
These are stored only on your device and are never sent anywhere:
- player names, scores and all-time wins
- game settings (timer, “Play to” target, deck)
- sound and haptics settings
- which cards have been played
Deleting the app deletes this data.
Downloading cards
The app downloads the topic list and pictures from our server, which Supabase hosts in the United States. These requests carry no personal information. Like any web request, the hosting provider receives your device’s IP address as part of normal network traffic.
Suggesting a topic
“Suggest a topic” is optional. When you suggest a new charades topic, the app sends the suggestion text, the chosen deck and category, and a random install ID.
- The install ID is a random number the app creates once. It isn’t linked to you, your Apple ID or your device’s hardware identifiers. It’s used only to limit how many suggestions one install can send per day.
- Suggestions are stored on our server with the time they were sent.
- A person reviews every suggestion. Approved suggestions (the topic text only) may be added to the game for all players.
- Suggestions are never sold or shared with anyone else.
Please don’t include names or personal details in a suggestion.
Children
CharadeFam is designed for families. It doesn’t ask for, or knowingly collect, personal information from children. The only thing a child could send is a suggested topic, which carries no identity and which a person reviews.
Deleting a suggestion
Email us the suggestion’s text at hello@gravitaz.net and we’ll delete it.
Changes
We’ll update this page and its date if the app’s data practices change.
